Leanne Simmons

Leanne grew up locally in North East London and graduated from Brighton in with bachelors in Sport and Exercise Science in 2011. Leanne later returned in 2016 to complete her masters to qualify as a physiotherapist in 2018.

Since graduating, Leanne has worked in the NHS, gaining experience in orthopaedics, respiratory, and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Alongside this, Leanne has worked at Brighton Marathons and is qualified in Sports Massage.  She also has experience in hydrotherapy.

Having had an ACL injury during her physiotherapy degree, Leanne showed particular interest in this area of rehabilitation and is working to devise protocols for post-operative patients. Leanne is also keen on educating the next generation of physiotherapists and volunteers as a mentor.  

Since a young age, Leanne has had a particular interest in sports, particularly football (working alongside the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation coaching staff), and later basketball, playing frequently in the summer months. Leanne has completed a FA referee course, first aids courses and is working towards her qualification in acupuncture and UKSCA strength and conditioning. Leanne spends the majority of her free time cycling and strength training.
