Our Chiropodist (Podiatrist) diagnoses and treats problems associated with the lower limbs and feet. They are members of The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists and are registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC, the recognised organisation for maintaining the highest standards within their profession. With extensive experience in the) NHS and Private sector, our podiatrists are fully experienced and qualified to deal with most foot problems in the community.
We provide routine treatments. In addition to routine appointments, some of the conditions we treat and give advice on include:
- Corns and Calluses
- Bunions, Hammer Toe, Claw Toes
- Diabetic foot problems, Ulcers, Neuropathy and Infections
- Heel Pain (Metatarsalgia)
- Nail Problems (such as damaged and Ingrowing Toe nails)
- Infections including Athlete’s Foot
- Biomechanical Assessment using RS Scan Technology
- Orthotics (custom made shoe inserts)
Gait analysis is available in the clinic. The Podiatrist will perform a computerised gait analysis of your feet using the RSscan Dynamic footscan® System. This advanced software will show force and pressure distribution and allow foot mechanics and functions to be analysed.
We offer a range of Orthotics from off the shelf ones to fully custom made, tailored to the patient’s needs to treat the foot problem. A range of custom made orthotics for a variety of sports is also available to aid prevention of foot injury.
Nail Surgery is available in the clinic.
